scan in color

I just installed Adobe Acrobat 8 and formerly used vers. 6. I was always able to scan photos and other colored material from my printer/scanner and save to pdf in color. When I scan now with vers. 8, it is not in color. I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong!

Acrobat Scan uses a Twain or scanner plug-in where all your scanner attrributes are determined. Check your scanner settings and make sure you enable scanning in color.

If you continue to experience a problem, check your scanner developer's Web site to see if an updated plug-in is available for download. You might also report the problem to the developer's Web site if the problem persists.
