Shifted printed image

I received a PDF file from a customer. I opened it in Adobe 8 Standard. All I wanted to do is print the document. I made sure the printing options were corectly selected (landscape, shrink to fit letter size, etc.) In the preview pane all looks good. When I print it, the document is shifted to the right so only about 2/3 of it actully is printed and the rest of the page is blank. After many frusterated tries, I opened the document in Adobe Reader 7 and it printed with no problems.

Could this be that Acrobat 8 Standard doesn't "like" PDF documents from a previous version? Could there be printing setting I'm overlooking?

I searched the Adobe site, but found not mention of anyone elase having this proble. I tried using 2 different printers thinking it might be a driver problem, but go the same results on both. I did a save-as on the document think Abobe would re-write it in version 8 format, but that didn't help either.

Thanks for and ideas or insight.

When I have had pages print out of position with an offset, I have had success in adjusting the following IF I do not need the Crop/Art/Trim/Bleed data...

Advanced menu: Print Production: Crop Pages

Select Crop Box at the top pull-down, then in the Margin Controls, press the button "Set To Zero".

Go back to the pull-down at top and repeat for the other three settings if needed (Art Box, Trim Box, Bleed Box).

Hope this helps.
