Is there a setting to make PDFs (for web) print by default in B and W?

Hello - my first time here - you seem a friendly bunch - I wonder if you could help. My head hurts trying to get to the bottom of this dilemma I have -

Is it possible [other than changing your pc print settings] to force a PDF document, that is in colour, to print in 'black and white' and only print in colour if this setting is overridden?

I need to get my web based (full colour for web display) pdfs to print (be end user) by default in greyscale. Is there such a setting in Acrobat that will set print settings to default print in greyscale - without end user having to go into their print settings and manually chosing it?

Any help much appreciated.

Great idea but unfortunately this isn't one of the presets that is available from the print dialog. At this point it's just page scaling, duplexmode, paper source, page range, and number of copies. You can find these under the File > Properties > Advanced tab.

Many thanks for your reply.

Good to know one way or the other anyway.

Thank you.
