'token type not recognized'

Hi,

My first post and hope someone can help me out.

I'm working on an indesign document and have not had problems exporting or using file/print to pdf before. It is a largish document that I'm updating. The last couple of pages I've been working on show as a blank page with 'token type not recognized' when I send it to print.

I haven't used any unrecognized fonts or different fonts from previous updates. I do link eps files into the indesign document but this is no different to what I've done before. Other than that, I'm not getting any other error messages.

Can anyone suggest anything please?

thanks in advance
Maddie

Hi mross55

Your problem does sound interesting and maybe we can pin it down slightly?

First off - can you export your document as an InDesign Interchange format (.inx) and then open this file from InDesign. This actually converts the document back to XML and srubs the file of any potential corruption.

It might also be worthwhile copying the contents of the last couple of pages to a new InDesign document and checking the contents of the font window (Type / Find Font) - is there anything weird in there?

Have you tried other PDF export settings (use Export since it's easier to manage) such as PDF/X-1a:2001, Press Quality etc - any difference there?

Finally, make sure you're using the latest version of Acrobat (your version in any case) by going Help / Check for Updates ...

Let us know,

Cheers!

Jon
