Are there any player penetration statistics for Adobe Acrobat? I can't find any using Google or even on the Adobe Web site.

Adobe keeps penetration stats for each version of the Flash player but where are the stats for Acrobat?

I am re-asking a this question posted, and unanswered here: [link=http://www.acrobatusers.com/forums/ask_an_expert/questions/view/789/]http://www.acrobatusers.com/forums/ask_an_expert/questions/view/789/[/link]

This question should be addressed to the appropriate Adobe Acrobat department that handles product or market research. They may or may not give you an answer because that information could be considered confidential.

Thanks for your time Eugene, but this is really just another non-answer. I don't know anyone in the product/market research dept. at Adobe. If any of those people read this, please weigh in.

Player ubiquity and statistics are a vital part of player/plug-in adoption. Statistics are the ammunition that service providers (like me) use to convince IT decision makers to adopt a technology.

Flash is a great example. I frequently use usage stats to convince my clients that Flash is the right solution. It eliminates ambiguity and helps people make the right decision.

I figured that Adobe Acrobat User Community would be a good place to get an answer to a question that should be obvious and easy to find. Oh well.
