Audio player controls for embedded Flash audio

Hi, I am a newbie here and I am not knowledgeable about flash/actionscripts. I just upgraded to acrobat 9 so I could take advantage of the ability to add multimedia flash files to my pdfs. However, when you play the audio file (originally a mp3 file) the controls that come up are tiny and therefore useless. I am putting together pdfs that tutor children in math and I want them to be able to listen to a specific teaching segment and read it (the more senses used the better the retention for the student). I have mp3 files and word files and I just want to be able to start and stop the audio from within the pdf document. The audio tool works great, but it only plays the mp3 file and I can't figure out how to add a stop function. So I upgrade to get the the flash tool and it has play - pause -stop controls but they are so small that they are unusable. Please help. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a straightforward way to do this as mentioned in the following post.

Follow-up; I upgraded to Acrobat 9 and was able to create a audio poster and made the selection area for the flash file much larger ans the controls are passable. Now, however I am faced with another problem, when yo leave the page the audio stops automatically and I need it to play until it is complete. I have "Disable When: Disable content is selected rom the context menu" selected but it still stops when you leave the page. I ahve also tried to use the "Legacy" multimedia tools whic give a little more control of the actions but do not provide an audio player. Any and all help is appreciated. The audi/flash portion of Acrobat 9 seems extremely limited and I cannot fnd any workarounds. Any ideas?

On the "Launch Settings" tab of the audio properties you can select "Playback in Floating Window" and then the MP3 player will open in a floating window that remains active as you scroll through the PDF. You can set the size of the player (I find that the default width and about 85 high works good).
