I'm trying to create a data connection in a form in Adobe Lifecycle 8.0 to acces an Excel file. I have done the following":
1- Created the spreadsheet with tha data that I need
2- I created the ODBC(System DNS)
3- Start creating the data connection and select the data source but when try to select the Record Source nothing appears to be selected.

What am I missing?

Please help me.

Thanks,

Jesús

I'm sorry to say that I have not been successful at connecting an Excel file to a Designer Form. I haven't found any Adobe docs that are helpful. A search of the forums return a few people that have asked this same question and gotten zero response. I found two forum messages where someone said they had connected to an Excel file. Here's the most verbose one.

The real issue seems to be the driver used to make the connection. As you've pointed out, the one that comes with windows doesn't seem to allow an excel worksheet to be specified for the connection table. It may be there is a trick to getting around this. A setting somewhere, but I haven't found it. Look at the forum where the above link is at and write the guy who has the working connection and see what driver he's using.
