Disabling "Save Attachment"

We post videos (.wmv) as PDF attachments. The PDF itself is just our cover page, which includes our legal statements. When the customer opens the file, they see the cover, and they then click on the attachment to view the video. This satisfies our lawyers.

Problem is, the customer could potentially save only the attachment as a new file, thereby separating it from our cover statements.

To discourage this, is there any way to disable the Save Attachment button and/or the Save icon on the attachments window?

Thanks,
Gary

If you don't want people to save the attachment, instead of creating an attachment of the .mov file why not embed the movie in the doc either by creating a link on the cover page which will then go to page 2 and automatically start the movie or something like that? You could then even secure the doc afterwards to?

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion. Our videos are .wmv, and apparently Acrobat doesn't like that format when I use the Insert Video tool. It wants to convert the movie to Flash, which takes a very long time for these 40MB videos.

Is that how you meant to do it?

Yea that was what i was thinking.

I had a 4t tho, don't think you can convert it to flash format unless you have pro extended. Not 100% sure tho as have no .wmv files to test it here. That file format could cause a problem with the method i suggested. Sorry, other than that, have no other suggestions at the moment i'm affraid. Aprat from maybe post it on the javascript page as they can do anything on that topic!
