Embedded swf file in pdf defaults to Illustrator.

Hi,
I am on a Mac computer and have this problem:
I am inserting a swf file in an Adobe Acrobat PDF. When I click to launch this module, embedded in the pdf it starts up the 'Adobe Illustrator' program instead of my Flash player. I have already set this file type to default to flash on my Mac and it works if I use it as a stand-alone. But when I embed it in the pdf it always goes back to Illustrator. How do I get the Adobe Acrobat Professional to see it as a Flash application within the pdf?? This same document works fine on the PC side and launches fine. And it is not a problem that is unique to my machine. It happens with anyone who has a Mac so the problem rests with the application 'Acrobat'. This is the message I get: "The application "adobe Illustrator.app" is set to be launched by this PDF file."

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8.1.2, Macintosh

It's not every Mac that does this. On my MacBook Pro, I am able to add a swf file to a PDF and have it play as a SWF by the Flash player. Send me the file, and I can test it on my machine to see if it unique to the PDF files you are creating.
