Embeded movie works on my machine, but not on others

The embeded movie works fine on my machine, but doesn't work on others. Also doesn't work when it's uploaded into the Acrobat workspace.

They are flv files. Three movies on one page if that makes a difference although I think it's another problem - the three work on my machine.

Is there a better file format to use so that other people can open it consistently?

Acrobat.com doesn't preview PDF files containing rich media - you'll always be presented with a download message instead.

Without seeing a copy of your file we can't say why it isn't working. Also, what version of Acrobat are you using?

I'm using Acrobat Pro 9.3.4.218.

Is there a way I can send you the file? Or is there a checklist that I should go down to figure out why it's working on my machine and not others?

p.s. It's good to know rich media won't run in the Acrobat.com workspace environment. (Separate question -- how do you delete files in the workspace?)

Thank you so much.

If you're embedding an Acrobat 9 rich media annotation (using the Video Tool and *not* ticking the little "create legacy content" box) then it should play perfectly well in Acrobat or Reader 9, but won't play at all in earlier versions.

If you upload the file to Acrobat.com and "publish" it, you can copy the URL and send it to me via the site contact form (that tiny little envelope icon below my post count). I'll take a look at it for you.

To delete a file on Acrobat.com, hover over the filename until you see a black circular icon on the right of the name. Click it to open the drop-down menu and choose Delete.
