I have a flash video that I would like to embed into my pdf document. However, my flash video has several files that make up the flash video, is it possible to upload all the files into the pdf so my flash video will work in the pdf

Before you add a flash video clip to a PDF, you must decide if your clip will be compatible with users who have not upgraded Adobe Reader to the latest version. To solve this problem, you could write a Document Javascript that auto checks the users version of Reader. (See Ted Padova's 101 eForm Tips).
If you choose the Acrobat 6 Compatible Media option, you have many more choices, such as the option to embed the movie and add multiple renditions.

If you selected Acrobat 6 (And Later) Compatible Media, you can include the clip with the PDF by selecting Embed Content In Document. This option will increase the file size of the PDF. I suggest using an absolute URL for each clip, store the clips in a folder on your web site and if necessary, password protect the pdf to prevent piracy. Each clip should be place in seperate pages of the pdf.

For anyone interested in adding Flash to PDF: Acrobat 9 (Pro or Pro Extended) has new improved multimedia and Flash support. You can embed Flash as well as convert many video formats to Flash and embed H.264 encoded video for playback without needing any additional players (required in previous versions of Acrobat for playback of multimedia). Resources and FlashVars are supported for Flash in Acrobat 9.
