Floorplan office lookup

I am trying to create an office layout (multiple floors and wings) to show where everyone's office is. I envision clicking on a name in a list and a floorplan appears with that persons name highlighted. I created a PowerPoint that displays the floor, but it takes a slide per person (250 employees) and if someone moves then the graphic for that floor is now wrong. Is there a way to do what I'm trying to do using PDF? Button links?

You can use one PDF file for this.

The solution is use Layers. Layer each detail of the floorplan and all the user has to do is click a button related to their location.

Several tutorials on creating Layers are in the Resources section on this page.
