PDFs and Adobe GoLive CS2

Mac OSX vs. 10.4.10, Pentium, GoLive CS2, Acrobat 8.1.0 Pro.

It seems whenever I try to place (place PDF in site files in Finder, refresh site doc) or import a newly created PDF into a site document, GoLive crashes.

Hi mitchperkins,

Here are a few suggestions to help you debug your problem:
1. Make sure you have all the latest CS2 updates.
2. Temporarily disable any 3rd-party modules.
3. See if the problem occurs with all PDFs or just some PDFs. For example does it only crash with PDF documents that are secure/include hyperlinks/come from an unknown source, etc.?

Keep us posted,
Lori

Thanks so much for your response. I had already tried all your suggestions. However, I decided that the answer probably called for an upgrade to GoLive 9. (Running Mac OSX -10.4.10 0- Intel) Not only did this take care of the PDF problem, this is a truly worthy upgrade, for all GoLive users out there. The interface is on par with all other CS3 apps; it is quick and smooth. (only available as a download from Adobe site)

Thanks again, Mitch
