Play video from a button

Hi - I don't like how the video tool forces you to draw a window to the approximate size of your video (should have option to set the specific dimensions of the video / poster image) so I was going to use a button with an icon that launches the video - how do I do this? Is there a better way to get a video poster image on the stage without having to guess at the size of your video?

Hi,

drag the video onto the Acrobat's icon: it will create a new PDF where the video is 100%.
Then copy-paste the video object in your final document.

Hah nice one - better than nothing I guess, though it doesn't help if the video should be smaller than 100% but still at an exact proportion.

The secret is to not click and drag the movie tool, just select the movie tool and double click on the page near where you want the movie to go. Choose the movie in the dialog box. When the movie gets placed, it gets placed at actual size in the PDF file. You can then resize it while holding the shift key to keep the window proportional.

Even better. I'd say Adobe has a ways to go on the UX for acrobat.
