How can I make a button display a new layer- without the current layer or current button visible?
I exported from inDesign with layers and have tried putting the button on its own layer as well as on the main layer.
There seems to be no way to view a layer to set the button while also having the eye icon gone in order to have the layer dissapear for the button action.
I am trying to do this for a form which has a review button. The review button would take the user to the beginning, keep form data, add new instructions and replace the review button at the end with a submit button.
I thought this would be easy...
In order to change the OCG state (layer visibility) you need to use a JavaScript. Download my eBook 101FormseTips.pdf from Acrobat Users. You'll find a link to the document on the Home page. Take a look at the file Attachments. You'll find the housePlan.pdf documment cotaining JavaScripts that change layer visibility.
