I am having problems saving with an Acrobat standard 8 document. I get an error the document could not be saved. There was a problem reading this document (43). I have Acrobat 8.1 standard installed on my PC as well as Acrobat 9 reader. Any suggestion on how I can solve this issue will be greatly appreciated.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 8.1, Windows

Does this PDF have security or Reader Rights applied to it? Or is there anything else special with it? What application created the file? Is the file located on a network drive? Is this an Acrobat error, or a Windows error?

Thanks for your help Thomp,

The issue was with the Reader Rights. I’m now able to save with an Acrobat standard 8 doc.
