Acrobat Pro V7.x Security Settings Window Comes Up Totally Blank

Hi,
One of the PC's here has Acrobat Pro V7.0.0
The user often uses this program to sign PDF's. Today he's getting a message of invalid password, when he tries to apply the signature. Normally I would believe the user forgot their password. This time I believe he knows it, since this other symptom occurs too. When we try to create a new signature profile by going into advanced, and then security settings the window comes up totally blank. I tried installing the cumulative patch that brings it up to the most recent version. That didn't work. My next idea is do to do the detect and repair. Any other ideas?

Thanks...

It sounds like some file has become corrupted. Either the certificate itself (which could explain the password and settings window problem), or one of the other files in the Application Data/.../Acrobat/.../Security folder. It also may depend on where and how your certificate is installed. If you have the original certificate, try reinstalling. If you can't get that to work because the settings window won't come up, more surgery or uninstall/clean/reinstall of Acrobat may be required.
