I've converted an Excel file to a PDF on Win XP, then posted it on a website. Mac users open the 7 page pdf and pages 2-7 are blank. If I remove the PW security, the doc is fine on the Macs. Doc is fine either way in Windows. Any clue as to what's goin on or what I can do? Thanks, Patrick.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.2, Macintosh

Oh, I'm having the same problem. I haven't found a solution yet except to remove security which won't work for me.

Are you using 256AES encryption? Mac Preview and the Google Chrome native PDF viewer can't open those files. If you use the Acrobat 7 compatible 128AES encryption, most non-Adobe viewers will be able to open the file.

I think it's 128. I'll have to check that out.

The file in question is a fill-in form, and from what I found in my research it doesn't sound like you could fill it out in Preview mode, so I had the user change their system to have all PDFs open w/Reader by default. That solved the problem.

That's always the best solution :)
