Adding Signature

I have Acrobat 9 Pro Extended and I would like to know if there is a way to add a signature to a form. When I have someone that sends me a form I can fill out the required information but I can not figure out how to add an actual signature. I have my signature as picture file and could probably convert it to most any other format if that makes a difference. How can I get the signature to be on the form in the right location so it appears that I actually signed it?

Thanks.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro Extended 9.3.1, Windows

Hi neil154,

I do this all the time and it is very handy. Here's a good step-by-step tutorial-

Hope this helps,

Dimitri,

Thanks for the response. I do not have Photoshop. I tried using ACDSee and was able to convert the file to a gif but I don't see how to make it transparent. Are you aware of any other software packages that I could use to create the transparency?

Thanks

I figured out how to do it. I had some problems with the picture edit that I found that I could use because I could move the opacity all the way to the left and when I did that it looked exactly like I put the signature there but it still had a white background. When I moved the opacity to the other end the picture went totally white (could not see the signature). I finally followed the instructions for using Word and everything worked fine.

Again, thank you for the help.
