When I open a PDF file that I want to password protect I do not get a security icon in my toolbar. What gives?

Reader can not change the security on a PDF, you will need the purchased product Acrobat.

Thanx, I found out how to do it on a Mac using Preview. I can password protect PDF documents easily through this program.

Dears ,,

How can i set a password in PDF. file, But i want to make it active after 15 day, i mean after i set the password i can open the file normaly until 15 days, after that when i try to open it. it's require a password.

Please help me ASAP.
