Automatically secure documents?

I have a team of authors using Acrobat Pro 9. When they save PDFs to our draft site, they don't put any security on them. When they copy the docs to the final site, they are supposed to secure them, but they forget.

I would like to build a system where when they copy their PDF to a final directory, it automatically sets no copy and no modify permissions on the document.

Is this possible? I don't know much about Acrobat Pro, so I don't know if I need another tool to accomplish this.

Thanks,

Pat

You can use Acrobat 9.3 to secure the PDF but I am not sure how to do that as I have never post secured PDF to the site. Of course I would have a try.

I will try my best to help you in PDF converison fields, objectively and Neutral.

Can this be automated so that whenever an author places a document in the folder, a monitor program automatically changes the security?

You can use a batch process to do this but it will need to be done at the local level (desktop) not server. Here is a video that explains how to do this Using batch processing in Acrobat.
