Is there a way to convert MS-Word documents(both .doc and .docx) to PDF using some batch process. We have some 400 word documents which need to be converted to PDF format.

I know I can choose the Create option -> Create PDF from File, pick a Word document to convert it to PDF, but is there a way I can automate it?

I went into Advanced->Document Processing->Batch Processing, but could not find anything which could do it.

Any advice would be welcome.

Have you tried going into the Windows Explorer folder that contains all of the Word docs, selecting everything (or just the ones you want to convert), then right click and choose 'Convert to Adobe PDF'? That's probably the most basic way to do it, unless you're looking for other options and/or timing parameters.

Yes, but that does not allow you to add a password to the PDF files. I thought I could create PDF files from Word documents which have a document open password.

Your method is right. I will try that.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Ah, there is another parameter. In that case, I think you could do the conversions to PDF first, and then use your batch sequence that you mentioned to add the password to everything as a second step. (I didn't check the details, but here is another link I found on the subject):

Thanks, I thought I could combine the two(creating and adding a password) as a batch process. But, that's fine. I can do it as two separate steps also.
