Digital signature question(s)!

On the digital signature, I had to add them to my, "list of trusted identities, " when setting them up. All of a sudden some are not on there and we get the message at the top of the page that, "the signature has problems. " Then, I add them back to the list of trusted identities, validate them and they are OK again. I am wondering if there is a time frame that they stay on the list of trusted identities, or did I maybe get something wrong the first time around? I am also wondering when it is OK to clear a signature from a document and sometimes that is not an option.
Please help!

Trusted identities should be permanent unless some action is taken to remove them. But if you are using different versions, the identities are not shared between them (eg, A8 vs A9). If you have multiple windows open, there could be some problem sharing settings between them, but this is supposed to work.

Clearing a signature is allowed if you have the digital identitiy that produced the signature installed on your machine. You should be able to clear your signature, but not the signatures of others.
