Digital Signatures Being Centered

We are testing digital signatures at my company in Acrobat 8 & 9 (standard and pro) and I'm finding that every time I place a signature over a signature block, it ends up being centered. I thought it was because of the space I had in front of the signature when I created it, but even when I got rid of the space, it's still centered inside the box instead of being left-justified. This happens whether I use the "forms" function to create the signature field or the "sign and certify" function. Is there a way to change this or do I just have to start drawing the box at the left edge of the page?

Thanks, Steve! Sorry about the confusion. I was trying to get a graphics-only signature appearance and I was hoping that there was some way in Acrobat to set specific margins for left-aligning signatures. I guess there isn't.
