I've been looking for a way how can I disable the "save a copy" in the menu item of a pdf file. I already looked everywhere how can I do this but with no luck. I read in Acrobat Javascripting can hide menus. Can someone help me how to do it?

You can add/show/hide menu items in Acrobat or Adobe Reader, but not from a PDF file.

You should also be aware that you will be disabling this feature for all PDF opened by Acrobat/Reader on the system where you place this application script.

Just drop a .JS file containing the appropriate code in the JavaScripts folder (Acrobat and/or Reader), you can download that free tool to see how it was made and how it works :
