I have Adobe Professional 8.0 I removed it from an old lap top, and re-installed the s/w on my new laptop and registered the software.

Since then, when I attempt to use my digital signature. I get the following message:

Platform Exception
Key not Valid for use in specified state.
Error Code: 2148073483

I'd really like to use my digital signature again - can anyone help?

I've had the same problem since rebuilding my hard drive last week. Here's my workaround: Under ADVANCED, select SECURITY SETTINGS; on the left of the window Expand the DIGITAL IDs, then select WINDOWS Digital IDs. You should see your Digital ID in the main window. Click REMOVE ID, then REFRESH, then ADD ID and recreate your Digital ID.

This worked for me, hope it does for you as well!

I need to re-establish my digital signature but can't remember the password. Is there any way to remove my digital signature and rebuild it like described above without knowing my password?
