I'm trying to import a scanned picture of my signature as my digital signature. When I import the signature I see nothing in the preview window. Is there something to do with sizing of the signature? How can I get my written signature to show up. Thanks.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 8.1.2, Windows

Hi towney,

I would test it out by going ahead and naming/saving the stamp, then try applying it to a blank PDF. If it does place the image but is huge you can drag the corners of the stamp to size it to fit over a signature line. If that works and you are not seeing it in preview because it is too large, your only option is to reduce the size of the originating image. I don't believe there is an option to resize/scale it in Acrobat's UI.

Hope that helps,

well what I did was write my signature on a blank piece of paper and scanned to a PDF. Then saved it and tried to import it as a graphic. But not seeing it in the preview. Not sure how to drag the corners of the PDF image to resize. How do i make a stamp to be able to resize corners of stamp. Thanks.

Hi towney,

Scanning to an image format (gif, tiff, etc) would work better than scanning to PDF. Then you can open the image file in an image editing program (Photoshop, Paint, etc) and crop it to a reasonable size. Here is an article that discusses step by step how to create a custom stamp of your "ink" signature, with tips for improving its appearance-
