Is it possible to password protect a form created with LC from being opened and changed in LC, but still allow it to be printed as a pdf file.

Right now I have the form password protected, however after being completed and trying to print it as a pdf. I beome the following message:

%%[ ProductName: Distiller ]%%
This PostScript file was created from an encrypted PDF file.
Redistilling encrypted PDF is not permitted.
%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%

Any ideas other than removing protction would be welcomed.

Hi,

why do you want to virtually print your form as PDF using Distiller?
I'm curious.

Refrying an encrypted PDF file will in effect remove the security, so Distiller won't accept encrypted input. It's an important feature to protect documents from misuse so there's no simple way around it other than to remove the security before printing.
