For those of you using the Professional or 3D version of Acrobat...if you need to apply password protection to a folder full of PDF files, use the Batch Processing command (from the Advanced > Document Processing menu). Create and name a new sequence, then select the command "Security" option under the Document category.I see that you're using Acrobat 8 Standard. Unfortunately, Batch Processing is only available in the Professional and 3D products for version 8.
