Hi, I have created a pdf fillable form and I'm going to share this file with other co-workers in my group.

- I want to be able to put a master password on the file so only I can edit the design layout.

- I would also like a password to allow my co-workers access to view the responses and have access to the Tracker application, but not grant my co-workers access to change the design layout.

- I also would like another password to allow others to fill out the form or it can also be the same password as the co-workers.

How would I go about setting this up?

Thanks,
Joe Carusone

As Michael notes, you may need some serious server based systems to do all of this. If you are using the more "ad hoc" workflow that can be done without servers directly in Acrobat:

1. I wouldn't worry so much about people being able to edit the design: you have the original master and are the one sending out the form. It is protected by being on your local machine.

2. On sharing data: the data comes back to you and lives on your local machine. To share it with others, you would need to post it somewhere accessible to others either via email, shared file, or web server.

3. You can protect the file with an open password so that only those with the password can open it to fill in the form and submit data back to you.

Hope this helps.
