Sorry if this has already been asked but I couldn't find any posts related to this specific problem.

First let me say I am NOT a power user so please talk to me like I'm stupid.

I need to remove the security on a PDF form so I can replace a page. I am the documents author but Adobe is not letting me change the security settings. "Remove Security" is greyed out on the Secure drop down menu.

I do NOT want to have to create this form all over again because it is full of script calcs that I've long forgotten how to create.

Did you create the form using LiveCycle Designer?

Yes. It was a 4 page MS Word document that I imported into Live Cycle.

If I open the security porperties almost all the data in all the tabs is greyed out. Security Method is set to "No Security" but there are definitely restrictions in place.

I also discovered Acrobat doesn't consider me the author of the form. Is there a way to produce a password prompt?

Then you will have to use LiveCycle Designer to modify the form. There actually is not security applied, just one of the many features of Acrobat that Acrobat does not know how to handle with LiveCycle forms.

Live Cycle won't let me remove or delete the last page either. If I try to make changes and save I get the following errors:
