Hello,
I would like to know if you know a way to integrate SharePoint and LiveCycle Policy server for searchs. We must allow the users to execute searchs in a repository which contains protected pdf documents.
Thanks in advance,
Analía

We don't handle questions about the server products here. Try posting at:

Hi abano,

Unfortunately this can't be done. If the PDF is LiveCycle Policy protected then it is encrypted, therefore, there is no way for the index services to look inside the document.

Hope this helps,
Lori

Hi,

Just a quick remark here before the topic is closed and moved to the server forum. I had a demo of the Policy Server yesterday and I believe I saw an option that was: "no encryption", "encrypt contents but not metadata", and "encrypt everything". Couldn't this be used to have a policy on a pdf, but still have the metadata searchable using the Adobe iFilter on MOSS 2007 ?
