Unable to "File/Browse" in "Edit\Preferences\Configure Sig..."

I'm trying to create a custom signature in Adobe Acrobat Pro. Ver 7.

I go to the "Edit\Preferences" and either "New...", or "Edit..." and the "Configure Signature Appearance" dialog pops up. For a new signature I'd enter a title and then select "Imported Graphic" radio button, followed by "File...", under the "Import Graphic From:" section. When I click on "File..." nothing happens.

I would expect an "Explorer" window to pop up and let me browse for an image, but do dice.

Anyone have an idea what's wrong?

Regards,
Dan

When you click File a "Select picture" window should come up that includes a Browse button. If that is not happening, the next step is probably to look at the "something goes horribly wrong on my computer" list: too many apps running; out of memory?; corrupted file somewhere (run repair installation), etc. or is the window coming up behind something.

Another possibility is that when that window comes up it will show you the last image you selected. Perhaps something is wrong with that image and that is keeping the dialog from coming up. If you suspect that, the name is stored in the registry in ...\Software\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\your version here\Appearance in HKCU and HKLM
