Is it possible to unlock existing pdf with the known password. Then add a watermark. Then Optimize PDF. Then add the same password.

This needs to be done to over 600 files. All have the same password.

Is it possible to use bacth tool to do this?

Yes, this is a very good application for using a batch process. You don't need to remove the security to add the watermark and optimize. If you go to the Acrobat Preferences (Edit --> Preferences --> Batch Sequence) select Password Security from the pulldown under Security Method. This will prompt you for your security password for batch processing.Next create your watermark sequence and under Output Options select Optimizer and select the setting you want to Optimize.

For more information on how to create Batch Sequences see the following tip:

FYI - Be sure to change your Batch Sequence Security Method back to None after running the sequence especially if you regularly run other types of sequences.
