Controlling the resolution of raytraced image renders

By Tony DeYoungSeptember 24, 2006

The Acrobat 3D Toolkit lets you import 3D Pro. E models, refine and position them as needed, and then render them using a high quality raytracer for use in printed or online documents (i.e., as raster images). To control the output resolution, in the Render > Render Properties dialog box, simply enter the final custom pixel size for the raytraced image. For example, if you want an image that prints at 5in X 5in at 300 dpi, raytrace your image at 1500X1500 pixels. Also note, you can render the image with an alpha channel so that you can merge it into any kind of background in your final image editor or page layout software.
