In this tutorial, learn how to use Acrobat 9 Pro to transform your PDF documents into multidimensional communication tools by adding rich media files such as video, sound, or Flash content. When you add a multimedia file to a PDF document, Acrobat automatically converts the file to an FLV file that can be easily viewed by anyone with the free Adobe Reader.

Multimedia files can include Flash (SWF/FLV), QuickTime, MP3, MPEG, and Windows Media files, and more. You can play these files directly from the page or activate them from a link or a bookmark.

Because FLV files are compact, converting multimedia to this format helps reduce the size of the PDF file. The FLV file format also ensures high-quality viewing and compatibility across various computer platforms. Acrobat 9 converts the following video file formats to FLV: ASF, ASX, AVI, 3GPP, MOV, MP4, MPEG, MPG, QT, and WMV files.
