I am looking for someone who can help me develop a conversion interface between my website and Acrobat 3D.
What I am wanting to achieve is the ability to upload a CAD file to my website and have it converted into another CAD format (the equivalent of a FILE OPEN --> EXPORT, except the process must be automated). I believe there is an API interface/tool kit, but I require a developer who is familiar with this, to assist.
Alternatively, if anyone knows how this can be done, please feel free to post the answer (perhaps using batch processing?).
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
So, it seems as if you want a CAD-to-CAD translation so that anyone can access the tool to convert to PDF/PRC and then expert a CAD model. Is that right? If so, Acrobat 3D can be used to convert the majority of CAD formats to PRC. The output format must be IGES, STEP or Parasolid. Those formats, of course, can be read by most CAD authoring tools. Before starting down this path and discussing APIs/SDKs (check the Developers Forum for some information), please review the Acrobat End User License Agreement (EULA). You would actually be creating PDFs programatically, which is not permitted.
