Hi, I've got a 3D PDF file from the internet but I have no idea how to convert the 3D PDF file back to CAD. I have no idea what 3D software they used to create 3D PDF.

Im using Sketchup pro, AutoCAD2007, and 3D max. Is that possible to convert 3D PDF format back to any CAD software?

Thanks~
Nick

If you have Acrobat 3D and the author configured the security settings on the PDF you have to enable content extraction, you can export the CAD information to one of several neutral file formats: IGES, STEP or Parasolid. You do this by activating the 3D content and then right clicking and selecting 'Export ...' (You can configure the export settings via the 'Save As' dialogue.) Most CAD systems can read one or more of these neutral formats.

Thanks for your info, however,

How to configure the security setting? I couldnt find the content extraction to enable it.

I did follow the step by activating the 3D content, but when I try to right click it.. it doesnt appear the export window. Is it because of the security setting?

Thanks~
