Acrobat Professional has the AcroForms tool bar and LiveCycle Designer, either of which can create a usuable form for use by Acrobat or Reader. I should note that each provides different features which could affect your choice of product to use to create the form.

You have to have the "Professional" Acrobat and not the "Standard" Acrobat. These are very specific variations of the Acrobat product.

With the "Professional' version LiveCycle Designer is normally installed as a separate program that can be started from the "Start" button or the "Forms" menu bar option in Acrobat. The AcroForms tool is under the "Tools => Advanced Editing => Show Forms Toolbar".You might want to review the eSeminars on demand on the home page of this site for both Acrobat and LiveCycle Designer.

I have another question, I am working on making a document 508 compliant. I have been working in this document for a little while now. I have run into problems with the accessibility report stating that there are 2 images with no alt text, but they are reading as well as showing alt text. 6 figures with no alt text, but are showing and reading alt text. 10 elements w/alt text but no page content. I have gone back and forth over this to make sure it is reading and that it has alt text. Can you tell me what else i may need to do to make 508 compliant through the accessibility report.

Thanks.
