In the touch up reading order > show order panel, is it possible to change the names that display, as assigned by tagging? When an alt tag was created for a tagged figure, it displays in the content order tab as "path shading shading shading shading" and likewise, in the content tab, the atl tag of the "figure" appears as "path shading shading shading..." rather than the actual alt tag that was keyed in. can i change this? and if possible where? any advise is greatly appreciated -and i have a sample to better explain if needed. thanks! gsabch
Alternate Text is a "facility" that supports accessibility of Tagged PDF.
The textual description provided does not appear in the Tag, Order, or Content panels.
It is not meant to do so.
If a Figure element has been given the requisite Alternate Text this will show when TORU is open.
If a Figure element, in the Tags panel, is selected a right click of the mouse will open a context menu.
Selecting "Properties" will open the element's TouchUp Properties dialog.
Aspects (as opposed to ISO 32000-1 assigned "attributes") associated with the Tag are displayed under the "Tag" tab.
Alternate Text is one of these.
The "path" you mentioned is the label provided for the lines that bound a graphic object.
"Shading" comes from the label used to designate something in the authoring file.
Often, this is associated with Powerpoint or Publisher graphic object's bounding "frame"/"box".
So, in regards to Alternate Text, what you describe is not a problem.
