I am working on ensuring a pdf of a framemaker 7.2 document that includes pdf's of PPT slides in anchored frames reads correctly using a screen reader. The process i've been using works for acrobat reader 6.1, but i just discovered the same process does not work with acrobat reader 8.
The problem is that Acrobat Reader 8 reads both the text of the slide and the alternate text, which means duplicate text is being read by the screen reader.
When producing a fully-tagged version, 8.0 also reads the slide as the last item on the page. While I know this can be fixed in Touch up reading order in Acrobat, I wonder if the reading order can be fixed in FrameMaker.

Perhaps you might consider changing each anchored frame's alternate text entry to reflect the slide number (i.e., Slide 1, Slide 2, etc.)
After "Slide "n"" text is processed, the slide content is processed.
