Hi there,

I'm using Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.x on a Mac and would like to know if the following functionality ist somehow available via built-in function, in the professional version or as the plugin.

In all browser applications of today you have the possibility to let the browser store your tabs or windows on closing. The next time you open your browser it will restore all last opened windows and tabs and you can keep on working.

Is there any similar functionality in Adobe Acrobat available?

Cheers,

Jan

Not sure if I understand what you are saying. But Acrobat remembers the last 9 opened files. If you go file>open recent. A list containing your last 9 files will display and you can choose from there the one you want to open, or you can also click "history" and search files you opened today, yesterday 14 days ago, etc.Hope this helps.

Hi,

no that suggestion doesn't help. I already know about the document history.
For my thesis I read a lot of papers in adobe reader in parallel.

From time to time I have to reboot my system. When I open the adobe reader after the reboot I want it to open up all files I had opened before the reboot. And I don't want to select every single file from the document history, apart from the fact, that 9 history item are way to little.

What I need is something like the SAFT extension brings to Safari Web Browser. When I close Safari it saves all the opened windows and tabs and reloads them when I launch Safari again. So that I can start right there where I stopped.

Cheers,

Jan.

Tiggar,
Professional has the "Organizer" feature which would, I believe, provide you with what you desire. I'm not sure it Standard has this.
