Adding details to Electronic Signature

If I'm reading the rather confusing documentation correctly, the local government that is to receive our architectural drawings is requiring that the electronic signature contain not only the SHA1 digest (which we found within the signature after creating a basic one), but also the architect's license number and brief project background. Is it possible to add this sort of information to a digital signature? I can't figure it out.

As to the architect's license number.

Perhaps a signature 'appearance' could be used.
Say you use MS Word's label feature. Make a business card size label that hold the license number.
Output to PDF. When creating an Appearance for a digital signature (Acrobat's Preferences > select the Security category) you can import a "graphic" - but, this can be a PDF - and the PDF would be the neatly done 'business card' PDF that shows the license number.

Be well...

You can set up a digital signature appearance to include those things. Search Acrobat's help doc for "signature appearance" for instructions on setting up a signature appearance. You can set up any number of appearances and select one when you apply the signature.

Thanks guys. I didn't think of the appearance. We're still looking into whether or not they truly require all that info within the signature itself or somewhere else in the PDF, but at least this will be an option (albeit a microscopic option)!
