Activate Review and Comment options?

Unfortunately it's not possible to enable a review and commenting on a form created in Designer.

Ummmm - so is it something I can do in professional?

I know I have opened the from in pro in the past to enable certain features.....

Ugh - I really Hope there is a way to do this.

Actually, to clarify, you cannot create a Shared Review on a Designer form but you can do an Email Review and Enable for Review and Commenting in Reader. However, you need to create a static pdf from Designer to do this.

I am most likley not explaining myself very well. The main feature I am looking for is the yellow "post it" notes it allows you to add to a document. What you are describing seems a bit more advanced, or at least that is what I am hoping...

I guess I am not sure if my form is static or dynamic? I opened the from in acrobat professional but could not find where to "Enable for Review and Commenting in Reader".

Are you looking to add the sticky notes or do you need recipients of the free Reader to add sticky notes?
In Acrobat 8 the command to "Enable for Review and Commenting in Reader" is under the Comments menu.

I am looking for the users to add sticky notes in the free reader version, but when they open the file and go to review the options is not available.

The form is a dynamic form that I have created.... based on your earlier response it seems they are not compatible.

Perhaps the forms that you remember doing this with in the past were static or created in Acrobat, which is why you were able to enable them for commenting in the free Reader. If folks are just reviewing content, you can flatten the file but then you lose all the interactivity.

I am trying to figure out which Adobe product I need to purchase: Adobe Acrobat Standard or Adobe Acrobat Pro.

My goal is to create and save Frame files into PDF format. Then, send the PDF files out for review. The review team only has Adobe Reader. Will they be able to add comments/sticky notes using Adobe Reader if I create the files using Acrobat Standard or Acrobat Pro?

My understanding is that Reader users can enter comments if the PDF is created with Acrobat Pro, but not for browser-based reviews:

Adobe won't say if this will change in Acrobat 10.

You'll need Pro. to Reader-enable your files for commenting in the free Reader.
