Attach for Email Review Refuses to Work

I have a PDF open that I'd like to send out for review. I choose "Attach for Email Review", then click "Next". The program does nothing at that point. It's not hung, zero CPU usage, it just does nothing. The Next button is not greyed out; it seems active (it even makes the little "click" animation like it is being pressed).

Any thoughts?

Configuration: Acrobat 8 Professional, v. 8.0.0 running on Windows XP Professional SP2

Thanks for any help you can provide, as this is seriously hurting my ability to get others to review and comment on my work.

UPDATE

I wonder if the problem is related to the length of the path. I was able to copy the file to a different folder (c:\temp), and then the Attach for Email Review feature worked fine.

Anther document in the same (long) folder also did not work, but a file with a shorter filename worked okay.

Could this be a bug in Acrobat? Is there a path length restriction when using this feature?

Can you provide an example of the path with the long name that gave you a problem? Is it a network path?
