As soon as click outside a text boxes I have just inserted, the text becomes invisible. The font color appears to be correct, black font on white ground, but I still can't see the text unless I double click on the text box. None of the settings under properties seems to pertain to this problem. Does anyone have an idea of what the problem might be?

Can you see the text box? What opacity do you have your text box set at?

Thank you for the quick reply. I set the fill to no color, and the border line as white and 0% oppacity. I wanted to reduce the border to 0%, because white or not, I don't want to see any border on the text box. Did I actually reduce the oppacity of the entire text box?

Yes, in a text box, changes to opacity affect the the text, the border and the text box fill.

Thank you, I can now see the text, which is more important than having an invisible text box border. If Adobe has a "no color" setting for fill, then why not for border lines (I wonder).
