In Acrobat 9, is there a way of setting the default font and size attributes of the cells created with the form wizard? The wizard is a great tool in creating the cells associated with each entry. However, the convenience is negated when it is necessary to change the attributes of each cell to reflect the desired font and size.

To change the default text box settings in Acrobat 9 Pro:

Click on the lower left hand panel where you have the "comments button" (two yellow comment callouts).
You will see a list of all the comments/texts you have inserted.
Click on "Expand All"
Navigate down to a "Text Box" and click
Then Right click and choose "Properties..."
You can then change the fill color, line border style, etc. In order to change the font, make sure that the text box was already formatted to the font size, color, style (etc) that you wanted. There is a small check box that allows you to save these settings as default. The next time you want to insert a text box, this setting will automatically be used.

I have described how to change the default setting for the "TEXT BOX" however, this applies to any other type of comment setting. For example, you can use the same steps to change the defaults for typewritten text, callouts, ovals, etc...

Hope this helps =)

I tried This technique To change the default text box settings in Acrobat 9 Pro:

Click on the lower left hand panel where you have the "comments button" (two yellow comment callouts).
You will see a list of all the comments/texts you have inserted.

Well, I have about 82 text boxes and the message I get when I click on the comments buttons is
" This document has no comments". Now what? Tell me, is the regular Acrobat 9 this complex and as "NON-USER FRIENDLY" ???

There are two kinds of text boxes in Acrobat: Form fields and comments. Are you sure the ones you have are the latter and not the former?

I'm not sure what you mean by the latter and former. This is what I have:

I have a form. In acrobat 9-Pro, click on Forms, go to add or edit fields which opens up the forms editing window, the fields are all displayed (text fields). If you right click on a field and then click on properties you can click on appearance which displays the colors and the font information which can be changed by clicking on the drop-down menus to select the font style, size and text color. I have about 82 text boxes and I want to change the default font size and style in one application so I do not have to do this 82 times. There must be a way. I need to find out how.

You add the text boxes from the Forms toolbar, so they're form fields, not comments.

Correct.

It was actually created by the Forms Wizard which made all the text fields. I just want to change the font type and size on this entire document from the default which is now set at Helvetica and font size from Auto to a specific size.

There has to be a way to change the default font settings for whatever I create in the future that would be different from this current setting.
Do you know a way to do that?
