Collab / review not working properly with Lotus Notes

I am in a corporate Lotus Notes environment, Win XP sp2, AcrobatPro 9.1, reader or pro 9.1 deployed at users in question. With Lotus Notes 8.x open and running, cannot get the collaboration features to work. I get "Lotus notes is not responding. Please make sure it is not offline and try again" when Notes is up and running. Other issues are the good old duplicate email addresses in the to: area, email address and a lot of other text that should actually be in the body of the email appearing in the to: area, etc.

I am trying to push for more automation using Acrobat in my environments, and this is rapidly becoming a serious show-stopper.

Any suggestions or clues would be greatly appreciated.

My Product Information:
Acrobat Pro 9.1, Windows

Does Acrobat work with Lotus Notes for group review and comments? It would be great to use the generated automatic email feature in Acrobat.

Not properly - that's part of the problem. I haven't gotten any answers yet from any of the forums in which I've posted this issue.

I have the same problem with Lotus Notes 6.5 using Acrobat 9 Pro. I recently changed from Acrobat 8 Standard. I could send out Email Reviews with Acrobat 8.0 Standard, but after I upgraded to 9 Pro, this problem started.......

Does anyone have suggestions for this issue? Much appreciated.

Same problem in our environment with Acro 8.x and Lotus Notes 6.5.x . I eventually was contacted by someone from Adobe, with a "send me details and I'll forward this on...." and heard not a word for the past month, despite my repeated attempts to contact the Adobe person who contacted me. This isn't looking good for any kind of Notes usage. I am trying to find out something from IBM but so far not much luck there either.

I'll post if someone gives me some kind of answer that works . . . !

Hi all,
Something to try.

1. Search for the notes.ini configuration file and move it to C:\Program Files\lotus\notes
2. Set Lotus Notes as your default E-Mail application in the Internet Options (Control Panel>Internet Options>Programs Tab)Be well...

I'm having the same issue while using "Distribute Form" - "Lotus Notes is not responding. Please make sure it is not offline and try again." I'm entirely unable to use form distribution and tracking. This is with Notes 8.0.2 and Acrobat Pro 9.4.0. Notes is my default email application, and "notes.ini" is in the right place.

Has anyone found any solutions since the last post (nearly 9 months ago)?

Thanks.

Try the following:
1) click on the email button in the toolbar and check if it open Lotus notes or not.
If it does not it means that Acrobat does not find the default email client
program.
2) Check if the following files exist in the Lotus Notes program directory
(typically at Program Files\Lotus\Notes):
-- AdobePDFMToolbarInst.dll
-- ndbPDFML.dll
3) Check if the following files exist in Lotus Notes PDFMaker path in Acrobat
install directory
(typically at Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 8.0\PDFMaker\Mail\LotusNotes\):
-- PDFMLotusNotes.dll
-- Lcppn30.dll

4) Open the Notes.ini file from Program Files\lotus\notes in Notepad and add the
following three lines to the end of the document.

AddInMenus=C:\PROGRA~1\Adobe\ACROBA~1.0\PDFMaker\Mail\LOTUSN~1\PDFMLO~1.DLL
AdobePDFMInst=1

EXTMGR_ADDINS=AdobePDFMToolbarInst

If the AddInMenus string already exisits in the Notes.ini file, then add a
comma to the entry followed by the path to the PDFMLotusNotes.dll.
For example,
AddInMenus=existingentry, C:\PROGRA~1\Adobe\ACROBA~1.0\PDFMaker\Mail\LOTUSN~1
\PDFMLO~1.DLL

Note: The AddInMenus path has to be a DOS (8.3) path.To get the DOS pathname,
do the following:
1. Select Start > Run, type cmd in the Open text box, and then click OK.
2.Type cd c:\"Program Files"\Adobe, then press Enter.
3. Type dir /x, then press Enter.
4. Make a note of the short path name next to the Acrobat 8 entry, typically ACROBA~1.0.

***Make sure you have installed Lotus notes for Multi-User environment.
