How to move Callout arrow, but not box?

When using the Callout box, is there any way to move just the arrow on its pivot near the box, so that it points to a different text area? I've tried every combination of crl, command and opt with a mouse drag and nothing works.

Hi perumula,

With the Hand Tool selected, place your cursor over the end arrow point of the line from the Callout box- you should see the cursor change to a 4-cross point with arrows on each side, then you can drag the end point to a new place on the document without moving the callout text box.

Hope that helps,

Dimitri

Doesn't work. If I use the hand tool, it just stays as a hand and if I click/hold it becomes a fist and will only move the whole page. I tried using the Select Arrow tool and it does nothing as well, no 4-cross point with arrows at all. Suggestions?

Ok. The trick is to choose the hand then first click on the textbox, THEN go to the end of the arrow and the cross-hatch arrows affair magically appears and indeed it just moves the arrow. I'd say this is a bit counter-intuitive, but...that's the way it is. Thanks at any rate!

Would sure be nice if the print option on these messages did not include the left-side menu below the message and use up a whale of a lot of RED ink!!! Bad design guys for a page that's supposed to be printer friendly!
