Stamps not "going where I want"

I'm having a problem with all of my stamps. I am using Acrobat 9.0. For half of a year (since I started using Acrobat) my stamp was placed on the pdf exactly where my cursor was when I clicked the mouse.

Now, in the past two weeks, the stamp is placed not where my cursor is but in some place CLOSE to the cursor. It is as if there is an "unseen-grid" which dictates how close the stamp can be to my desired location. Additionally, i can subsequently move the stamp to the right spot, but this is not time efficient as I use Acrobat for audit workpapers and i frequently have upward of 20 stamps on a page that I would have to move.

Did a setting get switched? Is my Acrobat possessed? Any remedies would be greatly appreciated!

My Product Information:
Acrobat Standard 9.0, Windows

Have you accidently pressed shif-cmd-u (Snap to grid) located under the view menu. This would snap the stamp tool to a grid; you can also view the grid from the view menu as well. Hope this helps?!
